Conference Interpreting Equipment Hire Across Australia

Two setups, held in every Australian capital city: a portable interpreting setup (tabletop booth + portable tour-guide system) for meetings, workshops, site visits and delegations, and a professional conference setup (full soundproof booth + digital infrared audio system) for conferences and larger audiences. We deliver, set up and test the equipment. Technicians and floor-support staff are quoted separately, and we can supply NAATI-certified interpreters too.

How dry hire works

Equipment-only hire for AV companies who run the system themselves: no Interlingual technician or interpreters are included, and each item is quoted and itemised separately. Minimum hire one day; minimum booking notice 48 hours, subject to availability. Tell us the quantities, dates and city and we will confirm availability from the local stock.

Held in every Australian capital city: 150 IR headsets, four IR radiators and two multichannel units for the professional conference setup, and up to 250 portable tour-guide receivers for the portable setup. Larger requirements are arranged on request. Minimum hire one day; minimum booking notice 48 hours, subject to availability.

How a hire runs

From first message to pack-down — one contact, one quote, and a team that sets up and tests before your first session.

1

Tell us the event

Date, venue, running times, number of delegates and languages. We respond within one hour during staffed hours, including weekends, with a recommended setup and a quote.

2

Every item on one quote

Equipment, delivery, setup and testing, and any technicians, floor-support staff or interpreters as separate lines. No hidden fees.

3

Delivery and setup

The professional conference setup is delivered, assembled and tested by our team before the first session and connected to the venue’s sound system. The portable setup is delivered by our team or couriered with operating instructions.

4

On the day

If you have booked an on-site technician for the professional conference setup, they stay for the event, hand out receivers, manage channels and fix anything immediately.

5

Pack-down

We dismantle and collect booth systems after the last session; courier kits go back in their case for collection.

What we need from the venue

For the professional conference setup: an audio feed from the house microphones or PA (XLR or RCA), power near the booth, floor space of about two metres square for the full booth, and step-free access for setup. The portable setup needs a table for the tabletop booth and a power point for charging.

Hire period and notice

Minimum hire one day; minimum booking notice 48 hours, subject to availability. For major conferences, enquire as early as you can.

Interpreters and equipment from one supplier

Need the interpreters as well? We supply NAATI-certified conference interpreters in more than 190 languages, working in pairs for simultaneous sessions, and coordinate them with the equipment team — one booking, one contact and one invoice.
